Meet Agnes & Jenny
With a background in event management, including full-time wedding planning and project management, we bring a unique blend of skills and expertise to the pop-up market scene.
Not knowing each other at the time, both of our entrepreneurial journey began at the ages of 14, where we both dipped our toes into the business world. During that time, social media platforms like Facebook groups were our only go-to for showcasing our products.
As we get older, we started to explore different ventures. It was during our exploration of numerous pop-up markets that a lightbulb moment occurred. We witnessed the incredible creativity and passion of local vendors, and it struck us that these markets held the key to connecting the community with these hidden gems of talent. However, we uncovered a significant gap that tugged at our entrepreneurial hearts: a dearth of tools and resources to nurture business growth. It became apparent to us that these markets, while fantastic for showcasing our products, lacked the personal touch and supportive infrastructure we craved.
That realization sparked our journey to create Collective YVR—a platform that celebrates local creators and provides a space for them to thrive. We believe that pop-up markets had the power to foster meaningful connections and celebrate the artists' work in a profound way. To bridge the gap between vendors and the community, we aim to introduce innovative tools and activities designed to encourage engagement and dialogue.
